Who are William Columbus Lattimore's parents ??

I have a question, i been working on my late husbands family .. his great grandmother was Leona Rackley , her sister , Jennie 1891-1975 married William Columbus Lattimore 1890-1974 , his parents are listed as George Lattimore and Melvina Summers(Mallie) ..so I am trying to figure out who Melvina parents are .. , George Washington Summers and Samantha Bennett had a daughter named Melvina but Family Search has her and several trees ..records seem to confirm this but have her married to Jim Lee Pack .... so does anyone have info or can help me figure this out ... my husband also has Summers in his family tree , his 2nd great grandfather was Thomas Jefferson Summers who also was a son of George Washington Summers and Samantha Bennett.....I attached Leona and Jennie's father Harvey's profile .. but George's profile is  Summers-2944

I think your best strategy is to start at the beginning, and to enter as much information as you have, so others can help to build on it.

You mentioned she had a sister, Jennie. However, Jennie does not have a profile yet, and of course, Jennie's husband William Columbus Lattimore is not connected yet either.

If you could enter what information you have and point us in the right direction, then it would really help to do further research off of.

Ok, I think I've reproduced what you did to arrive at that conclusion.

You got the information for William Columbus Lattimore's parents from his Find A Grave profile, yes?:

If so, the next step is to actually verify if his parent's names are even correct.

So far I'm not having much luck finding early sources for William Columbus Lattimore that would actually show his parent's names.

I've found this record for him from the 1940 Census:

But you would need to find a 1900 or 1910 Census that might show his parents, or perhaps a death certificate which might show his parent.

His parents need to be confirmed with some reliable source before you can reliably go further back.

here is William's profile  with all the info i have ...  Lattimore-130 and here is Jennie's profile  Rackley-293  ..... and the only Melvina Summers that would fit  I have as married to Jim Lee Pack ... but there are records to match this marriage .. so it not sure ...   I dont want to make a profile for her just yet .. til i get more info .. but there is a profile on family search ...
