Senser-5 Need help with transcription and research

+2 votes
Katharina Senser is a road block just a couple generations back. I'm trying to upload her Alien registration paperwork images, but having trouble. Anyway, that's where I get the Hungarian birthplace. On the 1940 census there is another word in the birthplace field that has been transcribed as "Svalbard" and the only place I can find this is Norway. There are several transcription errors on the census record. It has Stein indexed at Sties, and Radio Assembler as Seamstress on the second page which lists her children and family (having trouble getting this to upload too). Anyway, can anyone help?

Also need help on her second husband, Nicholas Kirchner (d,1934). That's actually my direct paternal connection on this line. I don't have an Ancestry subscription and I've tried every resource I can think of (LDS, etc) to find any information on him

Due to the privacy setting of her profile we don't see her birth place. If you know the specifics of the census page you found for her you can give us that and we can try to look online. Or better, if you have an URL for the census.
Hmm. I thought I had added the census as a picture. But you probably can't see that cause of the privacy levels. I'll change the level and see if I can get the primaries I have to upload. I appreciate your time and energy on this.

It appears that you uploaded Page1 of the census twice, as both images are the same.
Your basic problem is that Temesvár is now in Romania, and Romania has not allowed digitization of just about anything. Ancestry may have some relevant church books, but I don't have a subscription, so can't really check.
