Elinor was married about 1670 to George Pownall, but there is disagreement about what her maiden name was. Her profile currently says her LNAB was Carter, but Worrall and Gardner have also been suggested. According to this source ( http://sbaldw.home.mindspring.com/flist.htm ) there is apparently an article in The American Genealogist which presents evidence suggesting her LNAB was Worrall or Gardner:
See the Pownall section of that source which cites an article in The American Genealogist:
George Pownall m. Eleanor (probably Worrall or Gardner [1]).
[1] The reasons for regarding Eleanor's maiden name to be probably Worrall or Gardner were discussed in my article Quaker Marriage Certificates: Using Witness Lists in Genealogical Research, The American Genealogist 72 (1997), 225-243, especially 237-242.
