Challenge of the week: Improve orphaned profiles (29 Jan 2018) [closed]

Hi WikiTreers,

Will you join our "Data Doctors" Challenge of the week?

Once again, Aleš has come up with something to help us work together on a category of profiles that need our help. This time it's "orphans," i.e. profiles without Profile Managers.

Here is the list of orphaned profiles that could use some TLC.

Will you join us?

Every time you record a status update it will earn you a point. The member with the most points at 11:59pm EDT on Sunday night will get the Winner badge this week and the bragging rights. But we'll all benefit from a neater, cleaner shared tree.

If you're participating, please post here to let us know. It's nice to cheer each other on. Or post if you have any questions about how to participate.

Thanks for helping!

Steven, I haven't used the spreadsheet before. Should we put which error we're working on in the challenge tracker column?
nan, if you are working the errors in a certain cell just change the background color. You get to chose the color. Ain't that special? Try to keep the text visible though. Just select the cell, click the paint bucket, and chose the color.

When you go to the next one, color that also.
Got it, thanks!
Fixed 822's for 1700-1799.
I have been working on 601's!

I will try to do one or two, although our campground WIFI is so poor that it is even hard to get gmail....

I am looking at open profiles with a single letter LNAB

Update....slow internet so just a few, looking at 852 in the 1800s in the US for some GEDCOM cleanup and finding names for unknown.

Will try to do some this week. Internet access is limited right now, so I have to go elsewhere to do online genealogy.

I'm new but I'd be happy to take a stab at some. Bad or incomplete data on the Web for all the world to see drives me bonkers!

Sure; I'll work on some orphaned profiles. I'll work on some Separators in First Name, which is what I was working anyway.
