Can you remove "Mary" as last name at birth?

I was working on a family line going back from Scriven to Knowles to Fish. I'm stopped temporarily from entering data by the entry for Mary-331, which someone has the first name of this person (Mary Sherman Fish) as her last name at birth. I can't figure out how to get at it. "Mary" should be changed to "Sherman." I'll take care of the rest.

On the edit page if you are the profile manager you can use the edit which will be just right of Mary. The next page will have Mary and a space just below that is where you will type in the correct name "Sherman"  Once you type the correct name click on the icon below the corrected name.
