Help Finding another Filles du Roi Renee Chanvreux

Hello again: Could someone please help in checking if we already have Renee Chanvreux and / or her spouse, Jean Lefebvre on Wikitree or not. They are not on our FIlles du Roi A-C Project List, but are on the 700 Filles du Roi List. I have done some preliminary searching and while there are quite a few profiles for Jean Lefebvre, none quite seem to fit. Just would like to be sure I have not missed them before creating new profiles.  Thanks, Jim

Hello again, Danielle. Fichier Origine has two Jean Lefevbre's but both wrong person. Not much else to go on for now.

I'll search the PRDH marriage records.
yeah, i searched in notarial acts to see if I found him marrying elsewhere, as well as Drouin, no luck either.  Migrations named his parents, so can eliminate some easily.  Jean Lefebvre is such a common name though we may never find him.  Oh well.

Renée Chanvreux presents an interesting case.  She is not included on the PRDH list, but is in Peter Gagné's work.  After describing how a marriage contract was drawn up on 24 December 1669, he states the following about her fate (p.133):

"Though the marriage contract stated that Renée was to receive the King's Gift of 50 livres, the marriage was never celebrated.  On 4 January 1670, Renée Chanvreux was found dead in the snow at Québec City, where she was buried the next day.  She is the only fille du roi known to have died before being married in Canada."

Though ultimately she'll need a profile, I wonder if it really makes sense to include her in our list if she didn't actually marry.  I suppose Gagné includes her because she would have received the necessary state support, but it seems odd to include her if she ultimately failed to marry.

well, if we are doing Filles du roy, we need to be thorough, and she did come with full intention of marrying, contract etc.  She would not be the only one who came and had no children here, so that she died before the marriage was actually celebrated should make no difference on that.  I'll create her.

The work of Yves Landry is considered by many to be the most authorative on the FIlles du ROi and it is my understanding that the list of La Société d’histoire des Filles du Roy (SHFR) follows his work. They do include her with the note that she died before marrying.

Thank you, Danielle for creating the profile. Will likley remain unconnected for some time, but at least we have her. I will add her to the Project Page list. Thank you to others for your comments.
