When only baptism dates are available, how can these be presented so as not to clash with the next sibling?

Though Helmut's answer is good, some families baptized several children (of different ages) at the same time.  If one doesn't know which one was born first, second, etc., using "before" under birth might not solve the problem.  In any case, things need to be explained in the Biography section.

You can enter the baptismal date and check "before". Then you can explain in the bio that the child in question was baptized at a later date. When you go to save your changes the system will still warn you that the distance between the children is too short but with your explanation and the categorization as "before" you can override the warning and save anyway.

If you have additional information, such as dates of marriage or dates of birth of their first children, you can frequently come up with reasonable estimates of birth dates (at least good enough to establish a likely birth order). You can then use the estimated birth dates as "about/uncertain" dates of birth in the DOB field and explain the basis for your estimates in the bio.

These answers are work-arounds for key missing data from WikiTree. There needs to be a data field for baptism dates.

As some religions do not do child baptisms, and adult conversions are not uncommon, there does not need to be any sort of “error checking” for baptismal dates of siblings. As an example, I was baptized when I was 31, and after two of my children were born (and baptized).
