Freda, I noticed on your profile an indication that you have an mtDNA test, but the test detail did not show any mitochondrial test info entered.  Your question above mentions taking a test through 'Family Finder' - I'm wondering if you meant to say 'FamilyTree DNA' instead?  They have an autosomal DNA test called 'Family Finder', and they have mtDNA tests.  You could have taken either one.  If it was Family Finder, you'll want to upload it to GEDmatch.com, so you can compare with others, and find other relatives.

For your daughter's tests to show linked to your profile, you will need to create a profile for her, then add her 23&Me DNA test to it, and a day later the info will show up on your profile.  When you select the '23andMe' DNA test type on the DNA Tests page ('Add a New Test'), it will ask for her 'Mitochondrial haplogroup', and you will enter the one that 23&Me gave her.  It will also ask for a GEDmatch ID, which you get by downloading her 23&Me raw DNA data and uploading to GEDmatch.com.

There's a lot more detail, including the differences between the DNA test types and how to add them, on this page:  Connecting DNA Test Results to WikiTree Profiles

Basically go to the profile of the tester & click their WikiID at the top to get the drop down. Choose DNA, then DNA tests & add. :-)

Your daughter's 23andMe test is an auDNA test, not mtDNA. If you want to be able to compare your two DNA tests, you will both need to upload your DNA test information to GEDmatch.com. It's free.

To add to what Charlotte and Kay have answered...

If you want to compare your mtDNA you will both need to get a mtDNA test - FTDNA is the only company currently offering it. Then you can compare each other on FTDNA. You can also upload your mtDNA information to Mitosearch for further comparisons.
