I wanted to share this family photo of the will of the father of Sally Phillips with the community. Location: Wilkes County, Georgia. Date: 1814. This is the will of Nathan Smith, father of Smith-65743, who was the wife of Phillips-9364. She was scalped at the battle of Ft. Sinquefield in 1813. The addendum to her father, Nathan's will, showing Charles Phillips Jr as his SIL, the husband of his deceased daughter. Charles Phillips Jr raised her children from her first husband, a Boswell or Buswell and their own children. Jesse Phillips (Phillips-17037 is thought to be the son of Charles Phillips Jr, but it has not been proven)  My cousin (our common ancestor is Jesse Phillips) has a DNA match to Nathan Smith. I am trying to unravel this mystery. Charles Jr.'s second wife could have been his step daughter or someone else who was related to his wife. If anyone can help on this, please do....I would appreciate the help.. thanks
