Hi Regina, you might wish to join the Adoption Angels Project as well as to complete an Assistance Request Form.  There are mentor angels there who can assist you with creating your profiles as well as family finder angels who can assist with your search.

Here's a link to the adoptee template for profiles:

Can you add more info to the profiles you already have?  I see that Arnold Brewer is cited with a SS Death Index source.  Do you have the exact date of Death?  Can you add a link to your source so we can see that source as well?

The easiest source to find will probably be the 1940 Census.  I did find this burial that seems to match his mother.

I added and corrected the year.  I'm new I'm sorry if I'm doing this correctly.
You're doing fine.  It takes a while to learn how new software flows.  Just keep at it and I will give you a few suggestions to help you move along.  I found a draft card for Arnold Austin Brewer on Ancestry.com.  Family Search is giving me problems right now so I can't get in there to give you the result without paying for the Ancestry access.  Can you open up your grandparent profiles a little more so the public (me) can edit them and add info that I find with links so you can find them too?  It looks like Arnold and Emma lived in Creek County, Oklahoma in 1940.  The 1940 Census shows your Dad and that he was born there
How do I open them up?
Go to the profile in question. As the profile manager, you should be able to access the privacy settings. Either add me as a trusted person for a little while or open the privacy for anyone to help. Usually the deceased have open profiles so others can help update them.
Perfect I changed all that would allow me to make public.  Thank you so much for your help.
It still did not

OPen up. I put a 1940 census under richard’s dad. You can copy it to Richard if you like. If you have an ancestry account, it will open up or you can find the page on Family Search and then paste it over my link. This is only my way of adding sources. But it is an example to follow if it serves your purpose. At least you can see how the programming works for other sources you may want to add as you develop your tree. You have a great start so keep at it. I will add a few more links if you like it later.
I'm so thankful for all the help.  I'm a little lagging, with work and kids.

Again, I'm grateful, thank you.
