Why does the gedmatch report generate potential matches when there are clearly two different sets of parents?

When importing a gedcom and the gedcom is reviewed for potential matches there are a lot that clearly have two different sets of parents so in 99.9% of the cases they are probably two different individuals.  It would speed up the matching review process if these were excluded from the review.

Is there any reason why they are included?

If not, do others see this as a potential efficiency saving?  Could it be an improvement for down the track?

The quick and dirty answer is that parents are'nt considered.

Yes, it would be an improvement.

AND... especially with some of the more "ancient" profiles, there are disputes about who the parents are, so the individual might be identical, but agreement hasn't yet been reached about parents.
