Search Engine Suggestion: Search by Sex [closed]

Can an optional radio button be added to the search engine that allows you to search by sex? Three radio buttons: 1. Male; 2. Female; 3. Both or Any or All (or something meaning “it doesn’t matter”) with the default = #3. Maybe place the selector below the “Include matches with surname variants?” or “Search all of WikiTree?” or under the Name fields or wherever seems logical.

This would reduce the number of profiles to sort through and would be tremendously helpful - especially with partial name searches.

Consider a partial name search for Jose*:

I know the search would return other names but for this example, let’s just pretend it would only return: Joseph, Josef, Josephine, and Joseffe. The ability to check “Male” since you’re really looking for either Joseph or Josef would return a list of more relevant results.

This ability could potentially reduce duplicate profile creation because the search will produce and display a more complete list of existing profiles.

Seconded - that would be VERY helpful.
M., we do have a gender option now. "Both" is what gets searched if "male" or "female" isn't selected.
