How can you tell when you're close to getting a Club 1,000 badge?

Don't get me wrong, I'd be entering and updating anyway... but it'd be a bit of a bummer if I had 992 contributions that counted this month, and missed the 1,000 mark.  it's not about the bling... but the Bling is nice.

I'm assuming that the 'contributions' in question when it comes to badges is related to profiles, rather than documentation added, etc.

Any Thoughts?

So many times I've been in the 900s! So frustrating! :P

Hi Michael,

You can't. Unfortunately, there is no monthly contribution count you can view. We just run a script on the first day of every month to get the counts for the previous month.

This is something Lindsay has asked for, i.e. a simple tool to view your month-to-date contribution count. It's been on the to-do list but hasn't been a priority. I'll raise the priority.

As far as what the count includes, it's your regular contribution count. The ones from http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Contributions

That does include all changes, not just new profiles.

Thanks for the prompt response, Chris.  There are many other things the team is working on that are higher priority and should be.  It'll be cool when a monthly counter is available, but don't raise its priority on my account.

Mike
Actually, I'm a little confused even about the regular contribution count. Especially now that I'm doing so many edits in other namespaces. I just checked, and editing a Category page increased the number of my Contributions in the dropdown menu in the top right of the screen, but those edits don't show up on Special:Contributions. So, are they counted, or not?
Hi Lianne. That's true. The contributions count definitely isn't perfect. We've never spent a whole lot of time on it. As you know, the basic code is Mediawiki, but we've layered a lot on top of it and done serious customizations. We don't show stuff in our Activity Feed unless it's been reformatted. Edits to non-profile pages currently only appear in the raw Mediawiki feeds, but they do end up getting counted.
