Are we now changing Québecois women's names to their husband's?

Marie-Josèphe Julien dit St-Julien had her Current Name changed to that of her husband today. Since women in Québec did not routinely do that should we require proof of such a change for any such changes?

Helmut Jungschaffer .. Do you want some collaboration help on this profile ? I have sources and information I could add.

C'est Bon Magnifiue ..

no, but last name at birth needs fixing, should be either Julien OR St-Julien, not both, need to go look at baptism to determine which.  Dit names don't go there unless they were the only name recorded.

This is an error... PLease see the Quebecois standards for names here... https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Quebecois#Guidelines_on_Names

needs to be taught to any new user - I came in thinking that it was standard that a woman took her husbands last name after marriage - as I am from the US and it has been that way here all my life - now I had to learn that it was not done then nor in my New Netherland people either so I had to go fix a lot of my work once I learned - so please pass this on to new people coming along - and do it nicely please - they do not know that what they are doing is wrong

Looks like a well-meaning error in cleaning up after a merge.
