Thomas w winn, widowed,married Rose e ely (Leeves)- what was his first wife name t wife

Question

i cannot seem to find where he was born, nor where he died,my brother thought that he may have had a breakdown, and maybe put in a hospital..the only thing i do know is that rose was a widow and thomas was a widower when they married and that in one of the census he was a shell tester..(maybe wartime) he is my grandfather, there are many Thomas william winn within this family..i have his bithdate about 1877, Rose and Thomas had 3 children Tom, Alf , Cyril ,and i think Cyril was about 5or 6 when  G P White was around he had a daughter Eedie,i have gone back..Thmas1851-Kezia.Underhill......Thomas1828-Elizabeth Waters....John Winn1796-Sarah Upton...then Robert  Winn..?--Martha..?..i would like to find out what happend to him, and if anyone knows where Robert and Martha came from etc would be good..hope there is help out there..thank you..Linda (Winn) James

hi linda, if you defined all of these people in wikitree and referred to their profiles in your question it would be much easier for people trying to help you, to follow exactly what information you have already and to target their assistance better.  If you have one of the census returns for Thomas as you say where did he report his birth to be on that (although I can't find any 1911 census return with a Thomas Winn as a shell tester in London)?

How certain of Rose's original maiden name are you?  The only Rose E married to an ELY that I can find is this one...

thank you, i have got all the info on my grandmother Rose Leeves she married a Jeffery Ely ,who was killed in france, married only  3yrs ..2 children i know these so its only Thomas Winn my grandfather i have no info of birth ,1st marriage, and death, you have provided me with a few clues there ..so i will look into it more ..thank you for your help..Linda.
