A bit of research I was doing turned up a little mystery and I could use some help.

We'll start with Samuel Walters.

Born Pennsylvania, 08/30/1833

Moved west, Married, Marietta Rollins

and died 12/24/1924 In Iowa.

What I'm looking for is more information on his parents.   All I have to go on is what's on his death record.

They are listed as JOHN WALTERS and Betsey WOMMER or WOUNER(Note: her last name is possibly misspelled).

Here is the reference for the death record, you can see the image yourself.

"Iowa, Death Records, 1921-1940," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q248-MJ6G : 8 November 2017), Samuel Walters, 12 Dec 1924, Iowa, United States; citing certificate #45409, State Historical Society of Iowa, Des Moines; FamilySearch digital folder 101784549.

All else I can discern from them is their places of birth.  According to Samuel's 1900 census record, his parents were both born in Pennsylvania.

I can guess roughly guess their ages, based on the birth of Samuel, 1833, so I would guess sometime between 1790 and 1820.

Now as to where they are from in Pennsylvania, I do have a bit of circumstantial evidence that they may have been from somewhere near or in Buffalo Valley, which contains the counties of Union and Northumberland.

I was hoping I could find them in the 1850 census, but no luck.  Perhaps someone could help me dig something up about these two people.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Craig

I'm looking for information on John Walters 1890-1930 son of Edward ( Theodore?) and Della Dimond walters  They lived in Brooklyn Kings County New York New York.  He married Adeline James and had 1 daughter Adeline that died in 1918 at about 18 months old and five sons,  John, William, Arthur, Donald and Harold. When he died my grandmother remarried George Guard and had three more sons, George, Kenneth (deceased) and Alan Guard. My grandfather lived in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1915 when he and Adeline married.
