Help decipher last residence on ship manifest?

I believe I have finally found the immigration record for my great grandfather Borkowski-31. He is on line 16 of the link I attached to his profile. The previous residence is listed as "Cyisk"? Would someone be able to look at the manifest to see if that could be translated differently. I cannot find a province or town by that name, and I would love to have a starting point in Poland. Thank you for the help!

Cyisk is what it looks like to me also, using this image in family search.

The record indicates that he is of Polish origin but came from "Russia" so he likely came from the part of Poland controlled by Russia after the partitioning. You may want to consult a gazeteer of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth place names as well as Congress Poland and look at the Cyrillic spellings.

It could possibly be Suraż, which in Belarussian is Сураж. But it could also be Czersk (the one near Warsaw) which was sometimes spelled Cirnsk. But those are just guesses.

Thank you, Frank! Now I have some starting points to work on.

Do you think it could be this village?

Actually I am thinking this might be it... Does this make sense to pronounce Cyisk to an immigration official?

So, apparently there are multiple Czyste villages in Poland. I guess I will have to work my way through them, unless someone might offer input as to location. Country of Origin is Russia. Ethnicity is Polish. Does
