We live in an electric universe. (Gravity is now understood to be a subtle longitudinal electromagnetic/magneto-dielectric force in a dipole medium acting 20,000 faster than the speed of light).

Birkeland currents are the interstellar power lines that drive literally everything at the cosmological scale. Our sun is externally powered through these. Kristian Birkeland is the first man to understand this. These currents are named in his honor.

There are loose ends in his genealogy to say the least. Because of such there is only so much I dare add to the tree. Norwegian naming convention is a subject I have not explored yet.

If anyone wishes to do more digging, do please feel free. This is definitely a work in progress.

Cheers,

Bruce

Here's his entry in the growing Norwegian Historical Population register:

http://histreg.no/index.php/person/daid/pf01053257028621

It has links to all the census records and a newspaper article (behind a paywall) about his death.
Thanks for that. Added to his bio. The paywall slot shall not get my dime, though... :)
