I am, though I will take this comment back and rewrite it as:
Benois Brasseur's mother is very intriguing - her name is not French at all, which leaves three possibilities - Benois was not born in France, or his mother was not Florence Fowke, or there is a very extraordinary story here.
A fourth possibility would be that the spelling of Elizabeth Florence's last name has been anglicised? Or un-Frenchified?
There is also a comment on Brasseur-2 that better documentation for his parents is needed.
About his birth. One of the merged records had "Pernes, Venaissan, Vau, France," as birth location. This refers to Pernes, now Pernes-les-Fontaines, a gorgeous village in Vaucluse which at the time was in Comtat Venaissin. Since Comtat Venaissin was a papal state it seems unlikely he was born there.
