A Mose Evans was born to a Perry Evans in Green County, Tennessee according to the 1860 census. This may be my Mose Evans, yet there is no other record of him. My Mose married Caroline Elrod in Georgia in 1874.

Did not find Mose Evans parents, but could he be Moses Evans? Several are in TN.

I am guessing that it could be Moses. I have already determined that familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M8TX-FDG is the best record. The father in this case is Perry Evans but Mose or Moses is not listed in any other census with Perry Evans. This is what I am trying to confirm.

A Google search of Greene County, TN genealogy, genealogy records, society or or genealogical society might be useful to a confirmation of the father's name.
