Style Question for Township subcategory

Back Ground:

In addition to listing Townships under the County Category, I have created a sub category called "Harnett County Townships."

Dilemma:

There may be other counties called "Harnett," in other states.  This is certainly true of counties named 'Clark' or 'Washington'.  So, it seems to me that I should be including the state in the subcategory name.  I have two options if I do that:

"Harnett County, North Carolina Townships," or "Townships, Harnett County, North Carolina."

I'm inclined to go for the second option.  Thoughts ?

I'm also realizing that Townships are commonly-named, with duplicates in other counties within a state.  Two "Black River" Townships in different counties within the same state, for example.  Now I'm thinking that the category style for Townships should be:

"Black River Township, Harnett County, North Carolina"

It's amazing how many duplicates there are! See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_Township for a particularly ridiculous example.

As for including counties in the category names, I do it only when it's necessary to disambiguate, rather than making unambiguous category names longer than necessary. But you're right that it is often necessary.

I'm not sure I understand these categories. What's the purpose of a Harnett County Townships category when the townships are already listed in the county category?

Aside from that, I'd go with something like "Townships in Harnett County, North Carolina", purely for grammatical reasons.

Well, my thinking is that it makes it easier to see the townships as a group - I do the same thing with Counties, i.e. there is a 'North Carolina Counties' categegory even though the counties are listed under "North Carolina"... it's a grouping thing.  I figure over time they'll get mixed in with other subcategories on the NC Category page, and this keeps them neatly grouped together for searching.  Do you follow?
I suppose I do. Do you think a lot of categories that aren't North Carolina counties will end up in the North Carolina category? I wouldn't think there would be a lot.
