I don't know who Paul McLaine is... no info given on DOB/DOD, location. However if he is living today, he should test his Y DNA with the Clan MacLean DNA project at Family Tree DNA and then we might be able to answer his question. We have a kit for Charles who married Cheeseman and he may or may not match that kit. We also have a kit for Robert who married Patience Pyles and that kit does not to match the Charles who married Cheeseman kit. We could use another test from another son of either of these men to prove we have good DNA for Charles and Robert... but right now there is no proof at all, other than proximity of locations.. that these men are at all related.
