Looking for information on James Tucker, working as a Policeman

Question

Hi everybody.

My name is Nigel Tucker. I am researching my family tree. However, of particular interest is my grandfather, paternal side, called James TUcker. He was born in Bristol , joined the Merchant Navy for a year, then worked as a Policeman in Cardiff South Wales. It seems he was a bit of a lad, and so far, we have managed to track down 3 children, born to his various lovers. Anyone know of James Tucker? He died , aged 43, in 1945.
