Why does my "Family List" include place of death for men but not for women?

I was looking at my "Family List" with some puzzlement: for some people, it shows the death location, while for others there's only the date of death. As far as I know, I haven't entered anyone yet with an unknown death location, so I checked a few of them, and sure enough, they all have locations, exactly the same as the profiles that are showing them on the list.

Then I noticed the pattern: all of the men show a death location. None of the women do.

Huh? Is a woman's place of death considered somehow genealogically unimportant? What the heck difference does a person's gender make in this? What's going on?

That's bizarre! I can't imagine why this would be...
Interesting observation J.  My Family List appears to be the same way.  I have no explanation, but will be interested to see the answer.

Hi J,

I'll add this to our improvements or bugs list once I look into it. Not sure what's causing the issue or whether at some point we had intentionally done it.

Abby, I'll bet I'm not the only one who would be interested in the reason if it was deliberate.  Absolutely cannot think of one!   :-)
Two years and a bit, and it's still the same: men have their place of death listed, women do not.

Is there a formal bug-reporting mechanism on WikiTree that mere mortals like me can use?

The issue is already on the list of bugs to be fixed, but it is in the "Low Priority" category and there are quite a lot of Medium priorities and a couple of High priorities ahead of it in the queue, so I would guess that it will be a while before it gets fixed. The comment on the issue also suggests that it is not immediately obvious why it is behaving this way. See https://trello.com/c/E7eNCdHS/183-family-list-doesnt-show-death-locations-for-females

We've actually been working on a bunch of small changes like this the past week, so this has been fixed :D
