As Lynda said, WikiTree doesn't do the matching, just marks the appropriate profiles for the type of DNA. Your autosomal test will be marked on all profiles that have been entered (currently just your parents) and are directly related to you, within about 6 steps away. Your mitochondrial DNA would be propagated up the maternal line, currently just your mother. However, the 23 & Me mtDNA result is NOT propagated (hopefully will be in the future), so to see it marked on your mother's profile, you have to do one more step - go back to the DNA Tests page and add another DNA test '''Other mtDNA''', and enter the mtDNA haplogroup you received from 23 & Me. A day later and you should see it appear on your mother's profile.
The more relatives you enter, the more you will see, plus you will increase the chance of connecting to the rest of the big tree.
By the way, I tested your Genesis GEDmatch ID against mine, and it appears to show we may be very distantly related. How closely I don't know, because Genesis does things very differently than I'm used to, with the regular GEDmatch. My guess is we're somewhere between second cousins to fourth cousins. GEDmatch estimates between 7th and 8th cousins, which is really distant. I have no idea how we're related, as you've only entered 2 surnames, Howard and Fowler, and I don't recognize either of them in my relations. You're welcome to check my profile, click on the Ancestors button, and see if you recognize any names. Otherwise, I'll be keeping an occasional eye on your progress, looking for someone I recognize! :)
