I am researching my husband's ancestor, Caroline Sandford, daughter of  Benjamin Sandford and Frances (Fanny).

I am trying to find Caroline's DOB in Van Diemen's land.

In the SA Marriage Index Caroline Roberts, 49y, widow, daughter of Benjamin Sandford, married in 1881, William LATTER, 49y bachelor.

My info is that Caroline died on 28 Mar 1907.

Marriage of Robert Roberts to Caroline Sandford, on 6 June, 1850 at the Holy Trinity Church, Adelaide, was witnessed by Fanny Sandford and John Thurston.
So her witness was her mother, Frances (Fanny) Sandford.  This also confirms that our Caroline was the daughter of Benjamin and Frances Sandford, ex the Caroline to Swan River.

Possibly another person with a very similar name but may be of use.

Hi Frank, Thank you so much for your response to my query about the DOB of Caroline Sandford.  However, the Sandford family left Tasmania for Adelaide abord the "Henry" in 1845. And Caroline Sandford married Robert Roberts in Adelaide in 1850.  And she could not have married Joseph Brain in 1834 as she was only born about 1832.  Thank you anyway for alerting me to these records.  It is much appreciated.  Kind regards
