This biography is a rough draft.

Understatement of the century... Seems like it would be a fun project for someone though, I may have a look around and see what I can come up with.

We must be related. I'm 7 (GG) back. I'm in the John Henry Campbell (Dorcia Webb) lineage. That line ( Grandmother's side) takes me to Magruder and Back to Archibald Campbell of Argyll.  Any info you obtain ( and vice-versa) I'd be glad to share.

The names you mentioned don't sound familiar to me but then i am not sure yet about John Campbell and Margaret Ramadge being his parents.

I just did a review over several platforms. John and Margaret (Ramadge) had 2 or 3 children. Two were named William, one Robert (GENI). The oldest William, born on the Isle of Man, came to America (Rockland County, New York) and married Aeltie Minnelay – they had 14 children. You may have to link through 1 of the 14 children of William and Aeltie, or the 2 or 3 of John and Margaret (William (2x) and Robert.

M.W. Campbell

Thank you, I'll keep looking.
Scotland, Births & Records, 1564 -1950. I believe MyHeritage has the records and GENI does too. They were married in 1686 when she was 21. It says they had one son, contrary to what I originally found, but MyHeritage had exact dates, places and documents. It costs!
Thank you
