Need help identifying an occupation on 1860 census

I've come across an occupation on the 1860 census that I've never seen before:  Occupation: Fitth A Slut. Has anyone seen this before and do you know what it means? It looks to me like she was obviously a housewife, as she was married with four children. See Cynthia Meacham-856 at:

I've attached the 1860 census to her profile. The line in question on the census is #26.

Thanks for your help.

Had a look, but could not make a better guess than you have already. Hope it is not her husband's opinion of her.
Cynthia,

With all due respect.

I believe it says Filth. a Slut.

Perhaps the modern equivalent is a prostitute.
Those were my thoughts too Michael.
Did mother in law fill out the papers?  (Said with tongue firmly in cheek!)
Oh my... that's pretty direct. I'm guessing in the 1860's they weren't very "politically correct" about how they did some things.

My opinion is that it is a woman who has several part time jobs, working a few hours a week at each, according to my internet search

This makes sense, since I already know the family was not financially well off. Children left home early to either marry or take jobs and send money they earned back home.
thank-you very much
