I thought it'd be cool to add a wiki table for officers in each year, but whoo... the display breaks pretty hard at the moment. Anyone have workarounds they recommend?

Errmm, that's a problem! I don't know a technical fix. If I were you, I'd try rearranging the content to reduce the number of columns. For example, maybe you could combine several columns under a heading like "Other Officers", then list several men's names and their positions in the same table cell:

Westley Howard, Quartermaster

L.A. Cornish, Surgeon

If you do that, you could make the column more compact by abbreviating the names of the offices (e.g., Quartermaster to QM) -- and provide a key to the abbreviations.

Excellent idea. Thanks, Ellen!
That's beautiful, K!

Unfortunately no. :(

WikiTree uses the same software (albeit an older version) as Wikipedia. I'm sure the developers have a little bit of control over the width of the display, but ultimately, the profile pages force the display of the right column so that the bio sections display content that is too large just like you see on your page.

I'm just glad that the profile pages don't have two side bars like WIkipedia, only one! Otherwise, we'd have even less space.

BTW, you can update the tags on your question to get better attention or feedback by adding: bugs, improvements, style, wiki_markup. Just examples, but general is better than more specific.
