Is there a known issue when using the remove option to edited profile connections? [closed]

Question

I have been trying to remove the connection between Applegate-2103 and Applegate-1185

When attempting the option to remove his father without providing an alternative, I get the error messages:

The First Name is required. Enter Unknown if necessary.
The First Name can only contain letters, spaces, periods, and apostrophes.
The Last Name at Birth is required. Enter Unknown if necessary.
Sorry, the Last Name at Birth can only contain letters, spaces, periods, and apostrophes.
A Birth Date or Death Date is required unless the person is still living. Enter an estimate if necessary.

When I attempt the remove a child option, I get error messages:

I manage both profiles. The data indicated as missing in the error messages is not missing from either profile and PPP is not involved.

Hi James,

At the bottom of the page "[replace/remove father]" of William Applegate you will find the button "REMOVE SAMUEL AS THE FATHER OF WILLIAM APPLEGATE". Clicking on that button should work.

(I did it and it worked. Then I attached Samuel as his father again. See if it works for you)

If this doesn't work for you, you may want to edit this question and add other tags like "bug", "sysops" "software", "errors".

I was able to remove the connection this way as can be seen on William's changes log.

I´ll gladly remove the connection again if this doesn't work for you.

Thank you for your efforts and the suggestion of addition tags for this thread. Same results. I even switched browsers to no effect.

I removed Samuel as the father of William again with no issues. I hope someone with technical knowledge can expain why you were not able to do that from your end.

Can you walk me through what you're doing step by step,  with exactly what you're buttons/ links you're using?  Thanks; you're the first to notice something so as much as you can give us will be helpful.

From the child's profile page select the edit tab.
Select the [replace/remove father] link.
Select the "Remove Samuel as the father of William" button.

It is systemic. I'll try a workstation at a public library to see if it is an issue with my home tech. I hope it isn't.

Yes, it is my home tech. At the library they inspected the WikiTree page and it only had a warning: the SSL certificate used to load resources will be distrusted in M70.  When I repeated what they showed me at home I got lots of errors starting with the SSL be untrusted.
