Is there a way to change the database name for a page or space?

I would like to change the database name for a space I created. I'm not talking about creating an alias for the space as I've already done that. The space name is obsolete and needs to be changed. Do I need to create a new space and use a misnamed category; or can Wikitree Tech change the name for me?

The space name is Space:Colonial_American_Place_Names but we've expanded the purpose of this space and need it changed to Space: Historical_North_American_Place _Names

Barry, if you want to change the space's URL to read Space: Historical_North_American_Place _Names, create a new space with that name, then merge the old space into the new space.

You can find the merge link by clicking the Edit tab, then scrolling to the bottom of the page; the merge link is on the right-hand side at the bottom of the white space.

Here are a couple of tips to assist you:

  1. Keep tabs open for both spaces (if your browser allows that) so you can copy/paste the correct names to the merge-proposal page (to avoid spelling/punctuation errors).
  2. Be sure that the word Space appears only once in each box (to avoid frustration).
