Question

I am Cheryl Bulgozdy Martin and working on trying to locate my family members in Europe.  Supposedly I am Hungarian/German.  Gosh, not sure if this is what to say here, so going to end this.

Welcome! Bulgozdy is sometimes also Romanian, so if you are uncertain about your European origins, keep an eye out for that!

You can check out surnamedb.com , which is a free site for the origin of the Martin surname. It looks to be of Roman origin. If you look at the site, it goes into lots more detail.

Ah, Martin is my married name...I'm working on Bulgozdy, Haug, Rockige, Nadassy, Weirauch or maybe Winerauch.  Not many Bulgozdy's out there, nor Rockiges aka Rajac.  Unless things have changed recently.

Hi Cheryl, Not so long ago I was new too. Welcome!  I found WikiTree vast and daunting when I first joined. It took awhile to get my bearings, but am glad to have joined. As you build a tree here you may discover that another member has already created a profile for one of your ancestors.  That's a treasure, because it can connect you to a branch of ancestors that already exists. If you have questions about  joining don't hesitate to ask. There's always somebody available to help.
