Please remove PPP from Mary (Unknown) so that she might be merged with Mary Sargent (also PPP)? [closed]

Question

We have evidence that Mary, wife of Allen Breed, was Mary (Sargent).  Currently both profiles are PPP.

Please remove PPP from Mary (Unknown)?

Please elucidate what "evidence" supports this. The Essex Genealogist should be considered, at best, a secondary source. The Breed Family Association records are not explicit on the maiden surname of 'Mary'. If there exists an uncontrovertible primary source on her surname then yes, we should merge on that, but in lieu of such evidence the parsimony of simply 'Unknown' might be preferable.

The will of Ruth (Sargent) Chipman which reads

 "my kinsman Joseph Bread ten pounds" and to "his daughters Elizabeth and Sarah five pounds each and to the other children of my sister Bread twenty pounds each." 

is very good evidence that she was Mary Sargent, sister of Ruth Sargent.  This is also supported by the fact that William and Mary Sargent had a known daughter Mary baptized on 22 January 1637 who is otherwise unaccounted for.

OK, then yes, on the basis for the duality of evidence I would agree with the proposed merge into Sargent-747, and will update my database accordingly. As a related matter, I trust that Osborn-881 would be abandoned.

Unlocked based on post from Joe Cochoit that indicates Mary's LNAB should be Sargent

She has been shown to be Mary Sargent. The Essex Genealogist vol. 13 (1993): page 166. Allen² Breed's Wife Identified as Mary Sargent, by Volney Plumb.

Yes, I have read the article and agree. Unknown should be merged into Sargent.  I have approved, but cannot complete.  Probably waiting for someone from Sargent-747 to approve.

Looks like PGM manages Sargent-747 so perhaps someone who can log into the Project account or one of the Leaders could approve that merge ?  I see that Robin Craig is a PM of that profile.  She might respond to a private message.  Just a thought.
