Solving Northern Ireland Brick walls of Arbuckle's

Question

Seem to be unable to solve the mystery of the Arbuckle family from Antrim, Northern Ireland.   I have pictures of Andrew Arbuckle's parents, yet no names.  Andrew was born in Ireland in Jan 1 of 1859, (what he said).  He was from a large family and the youngest son, so had no reason to stay.  On Census from NY, he stated that his father was from Scotland, and mother from Ireland.  

I have tried the idea of looking for possible parents, by searching using his son's names. Edward W. ( William) and Albert J.  I still do not seem to locate a family with a son of William that left ireland unmarried.  

Any suggestions has to how this brick wall can be broken down?  I  am very interested Ireland ,  and learning more about this line.  I also have Dobbin in another line, so Ireland means alot to me.

Did Andrew Arbuckle have a middle name or initial.What New York Census

shows him.

Thank you, I had not thought of that, although, the only part of the family, that I did not personnelly know was Edward W Arbuckle.   I would visit with his daughters Claire, ( she raised my mother). and Edith May.  

As for Andrew's son Andrew, I never meant him, as he lived in California.

Others are 1900. 1905, 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940

I have a lot of good memories of visiting them 118 North Clinton, Poughkeepsie, New York.  In the 1940 Census he is listed as age 81 and living with Claire and Herbert Duncan, along with their children, Graham H. and Howard A. My mother Rita Mae Arbuckle is also listed.

My favorite place was the back yard and the apricot tree.

For all those that had suggestions, they were helpful  and I want to say thank you.

I finally got my answer through RootChat. Although the information was not listed on the Death certificate, and I mentioned that in the chat.  A responder located the Marriage notes that listed his parents as James Arbuckle and Ann Graham..  I was able to tell my mother, and complete a promise to locate them.  She could not say anything but mumbled my name..  She is in transition.

Basic problem is,all paper records destroyed by Irish Gov't too make

paper pulp during ww1.Also a major fire abt 1920 destroyed most surviving

records.Therefore there is no Census records,They were saved 1881 on.

Can you tell me there Religion.Some Church records have survived.

Living with his father also Andrew Arbuckle age 40 born abt 1820,mother

Margaret age 36 and 5 children.

Thank you, that is the wrong Arbuckle. There were several Arbuckles and two Andrew Arbuckles living in NY.
