Can you add sources to his profile that make it possible to find his census records?

Do you have any census or other information about his parents or siblings? Those can often yield clues. Have you been able to find an 1865 or 1875 or 1875 NY census with additional details on the second page of the image? What about census for his children, any clues?

Also search fultonhistory.com for an obituary, you should find something for Marcellus or Syracuse.
Hi, much of the information that several have offered I already have. Several U.S. census' have conflicting information about the place where William Henry George(Wiki#6022) was born(Mass., England, Nova Scotia, My mother understood that her grandfather was born in Nova Scotia), but no indication of the names of his parents, or where, specifically, they came from, just a generalized "England". There is an 1870 census that may possibly be connected, but not enough information to make a determination. Charles Edwin George was my grandfather. His younger brother, Milton, died while a young child. I have an old family portrait of William Henry George, his wife, Betsy Ann (Doidge) George, Charles Edwin George, and Milton George, taken about 1 yr. before Milton died(1895). I thank those who are trying to help me. LeRoy Abbott(Wiki#6047)
If you add sources for his census records to his profile others might see some clues that will help your search. It sounds like you really need to get some hints on his parents or siblings. There was a 2 yo buried in the old Marcellus cemetery, born about the same time as William, son of Josh, so you might want to search for him, could be a father or uncle. Charles sounds interesting and there are apt to be newspaper articles about him.

Try searching from fultonhistory.com . You might find something in the Marcellus Observer. It has everything from obituaries to so and so visited his brother yesterday. Lots of my relatives had some real interesting articles.
