I am curious how they could have been married to each other and produce children in the 17th century? Can anyone explain that? Please?

The first name alone doesn't always prove gender.  According to a note on the profile, there is some dispute among the family whether Shadrack was Cornelius' wife or father-in-law.  I'm sure they'd be happy to see your proof of Shadrack being male.

Geni has the will of Roger Williams, 1675

"To my two sons Roger Williams and Shadrack Williams..."
Thank you.
