Can error code 604 accept Éire as a good country name ?

Based on this G2G thread, Eire is accepted and ignored by DBE_604.

Perhaps Alex can add or update the spelling to include diacritics?

Was Éire ever used as the official name of the country before 1922?. It has been used since then (with the diacritic) though not uniformly.
