Was Elizabeth/Betty's death mentioned in newspapers in/around Johnson County, Illinois?

Family lore tells us Betty Wilson (Burkheart) died about 1892, that she was a nurse, possibly working in an asylum, and was stabbed by a patient. I'm looking for access to newspapers of the time in the hope that an obituary or report of the stabbing might exist.
