Are you related to Dickens families from Halifax County, NC that migrated from Isle of Wight, VA?

I'm not sure if my wife is related to the Halifax Virginia Dickens or not. We have only traced them back to John Dickens born about 1853. He and his descendants resided in Union County and Henderson County Kentucky.
