The page in your question is not the category page, David; it is the free-space page that accompanies a One Name Study.

The free-space page does have a link to the category page, however. You can access the category page for the Clack Name Study from its same-named link, as highlighted below.

What I am trying to ask is what do I put on a profile page to get it to populate the category Clack Name Study. I seem to be using the free-space page and not the category page

David, can you be more specific? Many folk here are available to help, but I'm not sure what you want. Notables are usually on a page devoted to them, Members (G2G) are on the page above this Q, all enteredClack profiles are recorded under the highlighted Clack after their name. Hope this helps...if not, please ask.

Normally, if you click on the link you provided you would go to the space for the name study.  That works fine.  Then if you click on the category, you'll go the category page for the study.  All that is there is a subcategory - no profiles are listed.  That page is supposed to populate when the category is added to the individual profiles (as you call members).  I think no profiles have the category added.  On the link you provided should be listed the members.  I can't know if anyone has followed the instructions and joined the study.  That could also be the members you are looking for.  I'm going to root around and see what's up.

Okay.  I looked at the first profile identified in the study's space, Joseph Akers Clack (Clack-801) and he has research notes, but the category for the name study has not been added.

You should contact David Clack (Clack-503).  He started the study and you can ask to join, ask how you can help, or whatever.

on some profiles but that must be incorrect as nothing appears.

I can see Louis Gilbert Clack on the category page, and clicking through to his profile, I see [[Category:Clack Name Study]] on there, so that is OK.  Which profiles have you used the Category on that don't appear?
