Extreme Monday Makeover!

Capt. James (Capt. James) "Horatio" Lockhart Sr.

What can we say, except HELP!  Research help would be great, but cosmetic help is much needed too. Take a look and see what you might be able to contribute.

Thanks!

Hi Liz,

There is research being done on it already, but some of the records aren't online and it may take a visit to the National Archives in England to get them. Also other records have been found in America for a Captain James Lockhart which may include his early service record.

Could the request for help be held off for this profile until the new research can be verified? Nae, myself and a few others are actually working on this in the background. It may turn out to be a very complicated profile. To put it in cotext this profile has been a several decades brickwall.

sorry! the call's already gone out. However, I think it'll be ok - especially with your post here (and a similar mention on the profile - you might want to add to that) - so far, profiles featured in both EMM and PTP have generally just received merging and cosmetic help Cheers, Liz
Hi Liz,

No problem I'll add a mention on the profile as well.

Many thanks

all the best

Tom,

You can relax, we know what has happened and it can be easily fixed. It wasn't your fault :)

All the best (now breathe easy)

Yikes - was it me? . . .  :/
Hi Sheila,

Relax it wasn't you either (let there be no mea culpa), let's just look at whether a profile manager or someone working on an open profile needs to have the profile locked while they are working from the edit profile tab. A simple solution (it might be hard to implement) but it would save multiple people doing edits on the same profile at the same time and losing each others work on the same profile.

All the best
That was something I was concerned about when I looked at the profile. I decided the best move was to remove all the text and post up a note. It took me a few hours to go through the document, and I can't imagine how frustrating it would have been if someone else had been working on it in WikiTree at the same time. Of course I was risking pulling the rug (or profile) out from under someone else.

I reckon under normal circumstances it's not a worry.
