DNA circles for Pomeroys added to one name studies

+4 votes
I just thought it would be interesting to find out how many DNA circles are out there for Pomeroys. There are two that I belong to, Oren and John. Are there others on other lines? I added them to the one name study for Pomeroy. Does anyone else do this?

This is off-topic, but I just found an interesting source, a history of Franklin County in Pennsylvania, and it mentions several Pomeroy's.

You may already have it, but if not, I saw a John and a Thomas Pomeroy, perhaps others.  This writer barely included any family info, but he REALLY included a lot of names!  Plus a very interesting slice of early Americana.

Thank you, I have added it to the list of resources. Thomas may be the son of George Holmes-Pomeroy.

I have also added DNA circle categories for Thomas and William below.

Hi Sue. When you say DNA Circles...do you mean on Ancestry?

Yes, they keep changing but I now have 3 for Pomeroys. [[Category: AncestryDNA Circles]] [[Category: Pomeroy, John 1733 - 1810, AncestryDNA Circle]] [[Category: Pomeroy,Oren 1799-1882, AncestryDNA Circle]] [[Category: Pomeroy,Lucinda 1801-1887, AncestryDNA Circle]]

I have two Pomeroy circles, Thomas Wright Pomeroy 1827-1902, (and another for his wife), and the 2nd is his grandfather William Pomeroy, 1750-1807, (and his wife as a separate circle. ). In Williams case one of my matches is from an uncle of Thomas Wright Pomeroy, and the other is duplicated again in Thomas W. Pomeroys circle.

I can’t figure out how how to add them to the one name study.
I just added William to the one name study.
