I have a lot of ancestors from Oka deux montagnes..

Story goes

Oka was an assimilation camp ( project) for french settlers to assimilate indians...

The church was burnt.. they blamed a native.  Joseph ONASAKENRAT

Records and proof are very hard to come by...

He was found not guilty from what i read. Does anyone know the history?

Frustrating.. its a huge project.. i wish i had the time, money and patience to solve this riddle... any takers?? Haha
