Did Czech researchers already know this?

Hello all,

I have been vigorously going through the church books found on actapublca.eu to find information on my Czech ancestors. I was going along well when all of a sudden it seemed one day, the records had been transferred to a new site: http://www.portafontium.cz/

As far as I know, it is only the records from the Plsen region that have been moved but  thought it was an important move to note.

Thank you Mike. I will add that info!!!

There have been lots of changes with the parish records this year. Why not confuse everyone even more? Guess they knew I liked a challenge. Lol!smiley

Praha (Prague) move to http://ebadatelna.soapraha.cz.

Brno is still on actapublica.

Any time, Eowyn!
Hey, have you ever talked with Michelle Hartley? I know she's been working on a Czech Resources page if that's something you'd be interested in. Here's her profile page: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gerard-337
Everyone researching Czech ancestors should be aware that many church and synagogue records of births, marriages and deaths were removed by authorities after WW II and put into regional archives. Over the last several years work has been undertaken to digitize these.  An example is at  https://digi.ceskearchivy.cz
