With many cousins named Potger (part of the Dutch Burghers fraternity in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), I need assistance on my 2x Gt Uncle, Henry Barnes (born 1819 in Clapham, Surrey, England). He went out to Ceylon as a planter and married Mary Ann Baker (also from Clapham) in Colombo. One of his daughters, Emily Elizabeth married Henry Simon Potger and they moved to Kandy in the 1870's. Henry Barnes however is a difficult ancestor to trace other than a brief mention in the Dutch Burgher Union Journal. Any help would be tremendous such as when and where he may have been buried. Thank you
