Looking for father of Thomas Middleton (Derbyshire, England 1813)

I'm having a tough time figuring out the father of Thomas Middleton (Middleton-3804).  He is the father of Mary Eliza (Middleton) Brookes 1836-1911 and husband of Margaret Ollier of Stockport Cheshire England.

I have a baptism record for him (England Births & Baptisms 1538-1975) that shows his parents as John and Mary Middleton.  Baptism 11/28/1813 in Tideswell, Derbyshire.  Parish marriage record does not show their parents names.

Later census records show him being from Wheston (or Wishton), Derbyshire and New Mills, Derbyshire.   Ages on the census records correspond with birth in 1813.

I also found that New Mills township was originally in Cheshire but re-assigned to Derbyshire in 1844. (For what it's worth!)

Thank you.

Wheston is a hamlet a mile west of Tideswell.  Not remotely confusable with New Mills though.

Thank you.  Those were the ones that I found as well.  Given his varying answers on the censuses for birthplace, I'm not sure who to narrow it down to.

I would guess that it would coincide with his baptism record with father as John and mother, Mary.

The christening is the baptism, right?
Right.
I have this christening/baptism record.  Haven't found the birth record yet.  If only Mr. Middleton could have made up his mind about where he was from!
