Citations for Births, Deaths, and Marriages in Victoria Australia

Question

Does anyone have a nice citation reference that I can copy that refers back to Births, Deaths and Marriages, Victoria? An alternate reference would be the Digger CD's (e.g. Edwardian Index) but I would rather not use that as they're not readily available.

Hi Rosemary, I haven't referenced Victoria yet but for NSW I use <ref> NSW BDM [indexes online]; Death Certificate, 1903/9184 </ref>  I was using a super long form ie Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, etc but have changed it.  Will be interested to see how others do it.

(Didn't really access it as I would have had to pay ... this is Vic for you).

I saw a post where someone has set up a non-person profile with all of their commonly used sources stored in it. I think I'll do the same. It will save a lot of time and trouble that way.

Nice!  Good idea, I have Text file with all mine set up stored in the cloud so I can easily access them no matter where I am when I decide to do a little profile revamping.
