Team GB-Gen logoWelcome to the chat thread for all those on Team GB-Gen!

This is where you cheer each other on, read reports on how we are doing, ask questions, offer answers - and anything else you can think of!

During the Clean-a-Thon we descend upon the suggestions/errors database and do some spring cleaning - say, getting rid of the misspellings like Englandland, Scottland, or Woles, or where a child was born before a parent, headings don't start with a =...see the team page for links to other suggestions and the different tally trackers.

Because of timezones, we will be starting at 0501 Saturday 21st and finishing 0500 Tuesday 24th. (EDT is midnight to midnight, but we're on BST)

Thanks Ros!  I hadn't realised I'd got something to do on the Saturday when I signed up, but I'll be working away on the Sunday and Monday :-)

Hello - only three days to go before Registration Cutoff...

Most of you know me already - I'm the England Project Coordinator for the Orphans Team, and I expect you've seen my name around G2G!

I come from Yeovil in Somerset (UK) and am retired from my job as a librarian, so I have plenty of time to devote to WikiTree.  I'm looking forward to the Clean-a-Thon...which 'suggestion' will you pick to work on, or will you work on a county?

I'll be concentrating on my usual Scottish profiles :-)
Any tips for newbies Ros?

Have easy-to-unwrap or get things ready to eat early.  Because once you get going, it's hard to stop!

Remember to have LOTS of water handy. IMPORTANT

Don't panic! If something seems to have gone wrong with the server, just make a note of whatever you are working on, and keep going.

Remember: the progress report/tracking/tally thing updates every five minutes, so don't keep going back and back after every single profile, horrified that it hasn't changed just yet!

Thanks for signing me up, Ros.

I cannot be very active on Sat; but Sun & Mon have much more time. I will check what targets you set.

Cheers, Stewart

I don't really set targets as such, Stewart.  You just choose what you want to do - and go for it!
