Taken place at Yanov Posad on December 8, 1876 at eight o’clock in the morning when presented himself a Jew Nukhil Lejb Schneiderman aged twenty two together with Jews Zel'ka Zemel aged forty one and Srul' [Israel] Shteinklyaper aged forty both are students [perhaps learned Yeshiva men?] and residents of of Yanov Posad. He [the father] proclaimed that on January 1st at three in the morning in Yanov Posad a baby girl was born to his wife Khana Gilda [double Yiddish first name] born to Schneidermans and to whom [the baby] in religious ceremonies a name Sura Ryfka [Rivka, Rebecca] was given. This official record was read to the proclaimer and witnesses, and was signed by them.
