Edward lll was my 18th, great grandfather, through his son, John of Gaunt, his daughter Joan Beaufort, her husband Ralph NEVILLE, their son Richard Neville, his daughter Alice Neville, her daughter Elizabeth FitzHugh (who was also Grandmother of Queen Catherine Parr, King Henry Xlll's 6th wife).. Just wondering if any of these names look familiar to you? Obviously,  we are related as well. I have gone clear back to the Viking, Rollo, who was also a grandfather..Very interested ancestry, right? I have gone to England 2 times, doing research on my Royal An6. You can find a ton of info at the NATIONAL ARCHIVES,  in London. If you cannot make it to England, you can also do research and even obtain copies, from their website..I would love to find out exactly how we are related. I love history, and this just makes it so much more fun..Judy

I would recommend that you start with a thorough check that your line back to Edward III is appropriately sourced so you can be sure you are climbing the correct branch of the tree.
